Hi there - he's making a traditional silk scarf. This was in a tiny village called Soatanana near Ambositra. It was amazing and the scarves are beautiful

Lucky you! I really fell in love with lemurs during our trip, especially sifaka.

Thank you. We really look forward to seeing your photos!

We were only there for a little over a month, but it made a big impression on us. We wanted to go back this year but because of the political problems we are going to wait for a while.

Thats great! I don't play but many of our friends do. One of our customers is an ukulele maker.
Wow - You got to see a lot of the country! Its such a big place, it takes a long time to see all the major sites. We didn't even come close, but we loved the time we spent in Tana, Morondava, Kirindy and Taolagnaro.

So do we. We know our friends are OK, but its very sad about the 100 people that died. Hopefully now things will be stable and food prices will come down.
Tonga soa Amanda! We are very happy you found us. Where did you teach? Tana?
We hope you find the Madagascar Network useful and invite other people living in Madagascar or interested in the country.

About Me:
I love music, drama, dancing and singing. Travelling, meeting new people, trying to learn new languages (although I'm a bit slow :-) ). Adeventure, friends and fun.
I spent 6 months in Madagascar last year, primarily working as a drama/English teacher. I fell in love with all things Malagasy and want to return one day. In the meantime I like to stay in touch with people who also share my love of Madagscar.
